Tallahassee, FL — March 27, 2017 — NFMC announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Lane Lunn as Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2017. Joel Montgomery, current CEO, will begin retirement after 19 years of service.
“This is the perfect time for Lane Lunn to become NFMC’s next Chief Executive Officer. We’ve selected a very strong leader.” said NFMC Chairman, Grayson Shepard. “Lane has a very analytical mind. Her complete understanding of operations, experience with NFMC, and her knowledge of the governmental requirements is priceless. We feel her transition into the CEO position will as smooth as possible. I am excited she is going to be the new CEO and look forward to seeing her step into the role.”
Lunn joined NFMC in 2003 and has moved quickly through the company’s ranks. She most recently served as Vice President, leading the non-profit’s contract negotiation, procuring additional funding and overseeing risk management. She has helped lead and execute many of the company’s goals.
“I joined NFMC 14 years ago because I wanted to be a part of a company where I believed I could make a difference and help people,” said Lane Lunn. “Over the past 19 years, Joel Montgomery’s vision and leadership have built and strengthened NFMC to be a viable and stable company, which now has 10 locations. The opportunity that lies ahead for NFMC is enormous, and the ability to lead this next chapter is deeply humbling and incredibly exhilarating.”
“Lane is clearly the leader for NFMC’s future, and she has the unanimous support of the Board of Directors,” said Shepard. “The board has always had a strong focus on succession planning. We initiated the formal CEO succession process 16 months ago, searching internally and externally to find the best leader for our employees, patients, partners and other stakeholders. With Lane Lunn taking the role of CEO, the board is very confident NFMC has the leadership to drive its success for the next chapter.”
