Can I set up an appointment?
The event is first come, first serve. No appointments necessary, although preregistration is greatly appreciated. It is a drive thru event. No need to leave your car.
If we have a change due to staffing or weather, you will be alerted via email (thus saving your time). This also reduces errors in your information and helps North Florida in providing reporting information quickly to Leon County.
Do you offer rapid tests?
We do not do rapid tests at our location. Rapid tests can be helpful but do provide a lot of false negative results. If you do decide to get a rapid test elsewhere, if you test negative, please take a PCR test to confirm that you are REALLY negative. If you have a rapid test that tests positive, you unfortunately do have COVID.
Is insurance required or billed?
We are not collecting insurance information. Insurance is not billed. Testing is paid for by the Leon Cares grant.
Do you cancel due to rain?
Yes, as this is an outside event, we will cancel testing if it is raining in order to protect our staff.
I’m traveling and need to get my results within 48 hours in order to fly or enter a state/country. Can you provide results in that time?
Unfortunately, no. LabCorp picks up the test samples the same day and processes them as quickly as possible. However, results may take 2-4 days. In extremely busy times, we have seen results as late as 5 days.
